«Die dunkle Seite des Löwen - The dark side of the Lion»

Framework Programm

The exhibition is accompanied by an interesting supporting programme for all age ranges: Tours, talks with artists, discussions, performances, actions, souvenirs, and the community is also invited to join in ...

Among other things, a panel of prominent experts will discuss Switzerland’s colonial entanglements (29 October), an Augmented Revolution Experience (ARE) by the research group Visual Narrative Hochschule Luzern Design & Kunst will revive the French Revolution directly in front of the monument (Revive la révolution!, downloadable free of charge from the App Store from 6 November), and Monika Ernst will read “Lion’s Tale”, which she wrote and illustrated especially for L21, for children aged six and over (25 October).
And the public is also invited to join in: the Lichtspiel – Kinemathek Bern wanted to bring private film-making to light and invited people to fetch Super8, Normal 8, 9.5mm or 16mm films from the attic and from the cupboards. Meanwhile this event is unfortunately CANCELLED due to the Corona situation ! Finally, Lexy Ottwald has produced an anniversary coin with the Lucerne Lion and the inscription “Sold – what are you willing to do for money?” in the number of 1’152 Swiss mercenaries involved in the Tuileries storm, which can be taken along as a takememories-home piece, provided that the engraved question is given an answer.
